Shed Antler Hunting Soon
On a weekly basis we're checking our trail cameras to see when that next big antler will hit the ground. Generally we like to wait until the majority of bucks have shed their antlers before we start looking for them. However, there are cases that we look for a certain buck in particular if he has shed both sides. Typically we start looking for sheds in the timber first; mainly because of the squirrels and mice. There's nothing worse then finding a big bone that's been chewed up by the rascal critters. After we've covered the timber area we'll move to the fields, ditches, grasses and edges. The likelihood of the critters chewing on them out there are minimal compared to the timber.
Good luck to you all this shed season and be sure to share your pictures with us on facebook @Team Radical.
