Wood-Fired Italian Poor Boy Venison Pizza
If you're a pizza lover, you have most likely indulged in several wood-fired pizzas. Did you know you can make an amazing wood-fired pizza at home and on a grill?
Green Mountain Grills offers a pizza oven attachment for their pellet grills to make gourmet wood-fired pizza on your pellet grill and it's amazing!! I recently invited the family over for pizza night and the wood-fired pizzas on the Daniel Boone grill did not disappoint!
We made several different pizzas to appease everyone's taste buds. One pizza in particular was unique and delicious and worth sharing - Italian Poor Boy Venison pizza.
ITALIAN POOR BOY VENISON PIZZA
I'm not much of a fan of store bought pizza dough and was short on time, so making my own wasn't an option. There is a good pizza parlor down the road from my house that sells pizza dough blanks, so I purchased dough from them. Below are the steps and ingredients used to make this pizza. You can easily make pulled Italian Venison in a crock-pot if you're processor doesn't offer venison poor boy.
INGREDIENTS
Pizza Dough
Marinara Sauce (add Italian seasoning)
1 Green Pepper
1 Onion
Sliced Mushrooms
Fresh Mozzarella
Shredded Mozzarella
Italian Venison (just like Italian beef)
Giardiniera peppers
